Would a career as a CNA be a good fit for you?

Where are you at this point in time?  Are you still undecided on which career path to follow?  It is good to know what your options are and to weigh them out.  Choosing to become a certified nurse assistant may be a no brainer for those who know themselves absolutely to be very compassionate to all people everyday.  Having the heart of a true nurse should be at the core of oneself  before putting on the theory and education of nursing.  I believe the demand for certified nurse assistants is growing in hospitals and medical clinics.  The baby boomer generation will surely fill in that demand along with an ever increasing non-citizen population in the United States of America.

Many people are turning to CNA jobs as a way to make sure they have employment opportunities for the foreseeable future. Certified nursing assistants provide much of the supportive medical interaction with patients at doctors’ offices, in urgent care centers and in hospitals. Generally, CNA training programs require only one or two years of education and can be completed through technical trade schools, community colleges and through some online programs.

Jobs Forecast

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for certified nursing assistants is expected to continue to grow in the coming decades. One of the fastest growing areas of employment currently, training programs for CNAs are growing at a rapid pace and recent graduates are often able to quickly find employment from a wide range of employers. In fact, it is not uncommon for larger medical groups and hospitals to work in conjunction with CNA training programs to ensure they are able to offer employment to the highest rated graduates of each class.

Getting a job as a CNA can be very rewarding and many people find that they want to continue their education beyond the minimal requirements for certification. If you work in a large medical group or hospital, you may find that your employer will offer you educational incentives to continue your education or tuition assistance for course work. Additional employment opportunities abound for people who go on to get their undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing, nursing administration and hospital administration.

Training Programs

You can find CNA training and certification programs at many community colleges in the United States. In fact, generally, CNA classes are filled up quickly and you may find you need to go on a waiting list to get the classes needed to complete your program.

You can also find CNA certification programs at many technical trade schools. These schools are often for-profit organizations and classes taken will not transfer to another educational program or institution. Technical trade schools often have agreements with local hospitals and larger medical groups to provide students with hands-on training opportunities as part of their training and certification program.

CNA programs are also available from online schools. The primary disadvantage of going through an online program is that it may be difficult to get the laboratory training needed to complete the program and meet licensing requirements. If you are considering going through this type of CNA training program, ask about laboratory courses and agreements with hospitals and medical groups regarding practical hands-on training experience.

Training to become a CNA can be a very wise choice for potential long term employment opportunities. CNA training requires only a one to two year program and you will be required to complete a state exam for licensing requirements. CNAs are anticipated to be in high demand for the next several decades.

Would having an alkaline diet combat disease?

I'm not an expert on this subject but would like for you to consider the possibility that maybe having an alkaline diet, drinking purified water with a PH greater than 7 and the use of Silver Sol technology may combat disease.  Most of us know that inside our bodies is organ specific mechanisms that help regulate a balance between an acidic and alkaline blood environment.  We have our lungs and kidneys that constantly compensate for any acid or base shift in the blood. Also the liver detoxifies metabolic waste and poisons.  Some doctors believe that because of these organs ability to detoxify and maintain blood pH means that there is no need for an alkaline diet.  Some scientific studies suggest that diseases such as the Flu, HIV and Cancer thrive in an acidic low oxygen environment. The suggested argument from some doctors and dietitians is that having an alkaline diet will help neutralize chronically acidic tissues, aid in detoxification, increase the effectiveness of antioxidants and promote increased oxygenation in the body to help combat disease.  I believe that the western diet can make the body very acidic.  So many foods are naturally acidic while others may be because of the processing or canning of the food.  The measure of acidity of a substance is known as pH. Pure water, which has pH of 7, is neutral. Substances with a pH less than 7 are considered acidic and substances with a pH of greater than 7 are considered basic. Cola drinks have a PH around 3 and coffee is at about a PH of 5.  The  PH of our blood should range from 7.0 to 7.5 so maybe we should consider the possibility that perhaps what we eat, drink and smoke may affect how hard those compensatory organs may have to work for balancing blood PH.  For a detailed list of foods that are alkaline please do an online search at:  http://rense.com/1.mpicons/acidalka.htm .  Eating more green vegetables, less red meat and avoiding Cola would be a good start.  Maybe the problem is not our food so much but maybe our intake of water, quality and PH of the water we may be drinking.  Some folks just do not drink water at all like they should while others drink nothing else but water.  I'd consider questioning the quality of water also that we drink whether it is from a municipal source or bottled water.  How much contamination is in our drinking water that may affect the PH?  I've found a remarkable product from a company called Seychelle.  They produce a portable water purification system that is unlike any product on the market.  They have many scientific studies done testing the effectiveness of their products in filtering 99.9% of organic, inorganic, radioactive and microbiological contaminants.  In a television interview on the Jim Bakker show the owner of Seychelle states that they've improved their products to increase water PH also.  These water filtration products have been in use all over many 3rd world nations brought in by missionaries to provide portable clean drinking water.  If you can regularly drink water at a PH above 7 then oxygenation of the body's tissues should increase thus making it a less hospitable environment for disease to develop.  Now why am I suggesting the use of Silver Sol technology also?  The use of silver as an antimicrobial has been the case until the discovery of antibiotics in the 20th century and was later abandoned.  But now the world has changed and many diseases or so called super-bugs had cultivated from the vast misuse of antibiotics.  Think about the smallpox vaccinations before 1973 and why did they ever stop vaccinating for that?  In this day and age we have seen the reemergence of old and the development of new diseases.  Microscopic nano-silver along with increased oxygenation of the body is one antimicrobial strategy. This product can be used in synergy with antibiotics only if you have a bacterial infection.  The Silver Sol technology patented by American Biotech Labs allows for a nano-sized silver particle for internal and external use against viral, fungal and bacterial infections.  In Vitro studies have shown that Silver Sol can kill HIV, SARS, e.coli, salmonella, anthrax, H1N1 and the bird flu.  So the suggestions to consider would be to shoot for an alkaline diet, obtain purified water with a PH greater than 7, and stock up on Silver Sol.

Health Insurance And You: Some Secrets You Will Want To Know

Some may believe health insurance is only for old or rich people. Attempting to thwart all sickness is not an alternative to health insurance, it's only an excuse to avoid it. Having health coverage is really a good thing to do, as the following paragraphs will illustrate.

Review your coverage to make sure you get the maximum from your coverage. Important things to know are what your provider options are, who bears responsibility for medical costs, what is or is not covered and what services are always out-of-pocket.

While searching for catastrophic health insurance coverage, you must take the time to gather as much information as possible. Be sure that this type of insurance will cover your needs regarding catastrophic events. Once you've figured it out, create an account to make deposits to where you save for your health.

It's important that you know what your state requires when it comes to acquiring a health insurance policy. For most states, this information is available online. You need to know the variations and exemptions are for the state you live in when you look for a health insurance plan.

Remember that each state regulates the private insurance companies under its own jurisdiction, so interstate commerce laws prevent private insurance from being sold to you in one state if you live in another. This means that going to an out-of-state hospital might not even be covered in your policy. All insurance companies are different in that regard, so be sure to call and check ahead of time.

Hopefully, the fact that you've read this article in it's entirety shows that you understand health insurance is mandatory if you wish to continue living in good health. Appropriate health insurance can literally be the difference between life and death, but sometimes you realize this fact too late. You will be glad you prepared yourself if something occurs. Although health insurance may cost a lot, it is much better than having regrets later on which can be more costly.
